Internships

Learn. Contribute. Create.

Theatre Cedar Rapids welcomes students and emerging professionals interested in gaining hands-on experience in theatre productionand arts administration. Our internships are designed to be flexible and responsive—shaped by student interests and the needs of the theatre.
Opportunities may be available during the summer or throughout the year, depending on current programming and staff capacity. We're excited to explore what meaningful learning at TCR could look like for you.

What to Expect

Internships at TCR are:

  • Experiential and hands-on
  • Tailored to individual goals
  • Mentorship-driven
  • Designed to build real-world skills
  • Integrated into the life of a working theatre

Because we are a professionally run community theatre, interns gain exposure to both artistic and administrative processes in a collaborative environment.

Internships may be structured for academic credit, independent study, or professional development.

Who Should Apply

We welcome:

  • High school students (when appropriate and supervised)
  • College students seeking academic credit
  • Recent graduates exploring arts careers

A strong work ethic, curiosity, collaboration skills, and enthusiasm for live performance are valued more than previous experience.
