Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a deeper connection to the arts, there are meaningful ways to contribute your time and talents throughout the year. No matter your background or expereience level, you are welcome here.
The TCR Production Studio and Scene Shop is always buzzing with activity as each new production comes to life. Under the guidance of our professional technical staff, volunteers help paint scenic elements, props, and stage environments.
This is a great opportunity to learn hands-on theatre skills, work with scenic painting materials, and collaborate with fellow creatives in a fast-paced, supportive setting.
If you enjoy being where the action is, backstage may be the perfect fit.
Volunteers support productions by running fly lines, moving scenery, operating special effects, managing props, aiming spotlights, and assisting stage management teams. No experience is needed and training is conducted as a part of each production.
No two performances are ever the same, and this team is essential to keeping each show running smoothly.
Costumes help tell the story long before the first line is ever spoken.
Volunteers assist with sewing, alterations, organizing costume pieces, and maintaining garments during performances. No sewing experience? No problem—there are many non-sewing tasks available, including assisting backstage with quick changes and wardrobe management.
Whether you're just learning or highly skilled, we'll help match you with a project that fits your abilities.
Actors, singers, and dancers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to audition for TCR productions.
Each season includes a wide range of musicals, comedies, and dramas, offering opportunities for both new and seasoned performers. Auditions are typically held about four months before each production and are posted on our Auditions webpage and shared on social media.
Our ushers are often the first people patrons meet when they arrive—and one of the most important parts of the TCR experience.
With more than 250 active volunteers, ushers help take tickets, distribute programs, and guide guests to their seats. As a thank-you, ushers enjoy complimentary admission to the performances they work.

Throughout the year, TCR hosts special events and fundraising initiatives that support our productions, education programs, and community outreach.
Volunteers play an essential role in bringing these events to life. Whether it's a performance-based celebration, a community gathering, or a donor event, these experiences help ensure TCR remains accessible and vibrant for audiences of all ages.
