Lynne Rothrock

A graduate of Luther College (B.A.) & Western Michigan University (M.M.),  Lynne Rothrock has appeared at a variety of music & theatrical venues around the United States including Birdland (New York), Davenport’s Cabaret (Chicago), Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), Crown & Anchor (Provincetown, MA) Mockingbird Theatre (Nashville), Hell’s Kitchen (Minneapolis), The Bryan Center (Duke University), Manhattan Vocal Jazz Festival at Lincoln Center, Soundview Cabaret (Seattle), Mockingbird Theatre (Nashville), Nashville Opera, Commonweal Theatre (Lanesboro) & many others. She was selected as one of 30 vocalists from around the world to attend the International Cabaret Conference at Yale in July of 2011. She is on the Performing Artist Roster of the Iowa Arts Council & is one third of the national touring act DIVAPALOOZA. Lynne has worked as a headlining act on cruise ships, with her husband, guitarist Ron DeWitte – a venture that has taken them to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Australia, Iceland, Mexico, Peru, Chile, South Africa, India, & Dubai. She has served on the voice faculty of Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of the Performing Arts, Austin Peay State University, St. Ambrose University & is a nationally recognized clinician/adjudicator for a choral, jazz & showchoir festivals. Her workshops on Song Performance have been featured at the Iowa Music Educators Association conference, Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival conferences, Luther College, Morningside College, Belmont University, St. Ambrose University & Mississippi State University. Lynne has returned to her roots in professional theatre, having appeared in the Iowa Theatre Artists Company production of “Pump Boys & Dinettes”, Festival Theatre’s productions of “The Foreigner” & “Crazy for You” in St. Croix Falls, WI, and recently performed the role of Arlene in the musical “Baby” in her hometown of Cedar Rapids, IA.
