WHAT’S A FLASH PLAY FEST?
Like our Underground Festival, but faster. And, hopefully, often-er :-). We are looking for original short plays! We also aim to provide opportunities for directors and actors to bring new work to life; but, we have a few new parameters – including an intentionally condensed time frame – to help make playmaking nimble, lower stress (depending upon your definition!), and maximum fun for all involved.
Halloween Horror Night!
For this fest, writers sent pitches for short plays that fit the theme “Halloween Horror Night.” We asked for plays with Halloween themes and imagery front and center. Seeking more opportunities for actors, our team favored 3-4 + person plays. We were also looking for ideas calling upon actors/directors to be creative with costuming and staging from their homes. The writers had 12 days to write and submit their pieces, then our team matched plays to directors.
Auditions took place mid October and 53 actors were cast! Cast list here!
