Join us for our next installment on Monday, April 20th at 7:30 p.m.
WHAT’S “LET’S GET LIT” – ONLINE?
For those new to “Let’s Get Lit,” it’s a play reading and discussion series led by Mirrorbox artistic director and playwright, Cavan Hallman and co-presented by TCR. Participants are given a play to read prior to the discussion. It’s a great chance to discover new plays and playwrights—or finally read (or revisit) essential works, from contemporary to the classics.
In the past, we have gathered in TCR’s comfy Linge Lounge and shared a beverage or two as we engaged in lively and enlightening discussion about the selected play. The only difference with this new online version is we will get together from the comfort of our homes via Zoom, and you will have to bartend yourselves. (Please ZOOM responsibly!) Oh, also, it’s FREE.
HOW TO JOIN
1) To “enroll,” simply send an email to angie.toomsen@theatrecr.org stating your desire to attend.
2) You will then be sent a meeting request with a ZOOM meeting link.
3) Read the play. This LGL installment selection is Jackie Sibblies Drury’s play, FAIRVIEW. Fairview is the presiding winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A hard-hitting drama that examines race in a highly conceptual, layered structure, ultimately bringing audiences into the actors’ community to face deep-seated prejudices.
