ABOUT TCR’S PRODUCTION OF SCHOOL OF ROCK

Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme…You better get me to school on time! School of Rock, based on the hit Jack Black movie, follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out? School of Rock – with its sensational live kids’ rock band, is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music.

School of Rock will be presented in the TCR Auditorium, May 3rd – May 26th, 2024. Performances take place Thu – Sat at 7:30 p.m., and Sun at 2:30 p.m. with potential added dates (including potential Saturday matinees). There will be one student matinee the morning of Wednesday, May 8th.

Actors 16+ are eligible to receive a volunteer honoraria of $25 per performance for all ticketed shows and any additional performances. TCR will supply meals for longer rehearsal days and any two show days (if applicable). Each cast member will receive two comp tickets, a show t-shirt, and drink tickets / catered meal at the opening night celebration in the Linge Lounge. Volunteers are not required to strike.
