In April, over 240 Kindergarten through 8th grade students from around Eastern Iowa submitted their art and poetry to our “Good and Evil” contest. Click to find out the winners!
Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us for our The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Contest. There were difficult decisions to be made when we saw the art work and poetry that we’d have to choose from. While we valued every entry, we had the unfortunate task of choosing the ones we thought offered the best interpretation of ‘good and evil in our community.
We’re excited that each and every one of you offered your representations of ‘life and death’ and hope that you’ll all come and view the selected pieces in the lobby at Theatre Cedar Rapids during the run of C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, showing May 13, 2011 through May 28, 2011. Because the decision was so difficult – over 240 entries were submitted – we chose several honorable mentions that will also be on display.
Below you will find the list of winning submissions. You should have already received your complimentary ticket to see The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. First place and third place winners can expect to find their prizes in the mail shortly; all other prizes have been enclosed.
Again, thanks for entering the contest.
Sincerely,
GE Capital and Theatre Cedar Rapids
