Class registration still open!
New this year, classes run 7 Saturdays.
There’s a reason stage productions are called plays. The most important first step in theatre is engaging the imagination. And the best way to do that is to play! Just good old-fashioned pretend. You know, like we used to do. These classes will also teach the basics of theatre and storytelling.
Instructors: Nathan Scheetz and Alex Schulte
Students enrolled in the 2nd-5th Grade class will be divided into different classes based on prior experience, theatre knowledge, and other skills. Introductory students will focus on the basics of theatre and storytelling, beginning students will hone their skills and put their knowledge to practical use through scene work and improvisation. Intermediate students will utilize their skills to put on a play, working on everything from characterization and staging, to costumes and scenery, with a new play each session.
Instructors: Alex Schulte, Nathan Scheetz, James E. Trainor III, Elizabeth Simon, Amanda Forman, and Jennifer Anderson
Students will use short plays, scenes and monologues in a rehearsal-like setting to hone acting skills, and gain practical performance experience.
Instructors: Erica Jo Hoye and Nathan Scheetz

All our classes and camps are designed to be age appropriate. Younger students learn to hone their imagination and creativity through play activities, arts and crafts. Older students will explore the theories and methodologies of performance as well as the technical aspects of theatre. No two classes or camps will be exactly the same, and many students choose to participate more than once. All will include a final showcase for family during the last day.
