The following ten shows have been selected to perform the first weekend in November during the first event of Theatre Cedar Rapids’ new Underground Series. ‘Spelling Bee’ arrives in just two more weeks
As kids go back to school this fall, Theatre Cedar Rapids is headed there too. “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” will be in session on the TCR stage Sept. 10 through Oct. 2. The Tony Award-winning musical comedy will also be the featured presentation at the theater’s season-kickoff Gala Sept. 10.
Richie Akers hired as TCR’s new Event Services Manager
Richie Akers has been named Theatre Cedar Rapids’ new Event Services Manager, the theatre announced Thursday. Akers joins Katy Richter, whose promotion to TCR Development Associate was announced earlier this summer, as the staff’s newest full-time hires.
